Managing Folders

This tutorial will show you how to manage folders in our Webmail.

You can create new folders, rename a folder, delete a folder, and move a folder.

Create a New Folder

Step 1: From the email tab (default when you login) click on the menu icon on the bottom left.

Step 2: Select New Folder

Step 3: In this example, we will create a folder named Clients inside the Root Folder.
The
root folder contains all your main folders, it is never advised to create folders inside (or under) the Inbox folder as this will result in slow loading on mail clients.

From the Parent Folder dropdown menu, select Root Folder

Type the folder name
Click Save

The Clients folder now appears as a top level folder in the custom folders section, top level folders are sorted in alphabetical order.

Step 4: You can create subfolders inside (under) your top level folders. We will now create a subfolder for a client named ABC Billing inside the Clients folder.

Right-click the top level folder, select New Folder

Type the folder name
Click Save

The subfolder now appears inside (under) the top level folder in the custom folders section

Rename a Folder

Step 1: Right-click on the folder you want to rename, then select Rename Folder
Only custom created folders can be renamed.

Step 2: Type a new name, then click Save

You will now see your renamed folder.

Delete a Folder

Step 1: Right-click on the folder you want to delete, then click Delete Folder
Only customer created folders can be deleted.

Step 2: A Confirmation Required pop-up will appear, click Delete
This will permanently delete the folder and all its contents.

Move a Folder

Step 1: Right-click on the folder you want to move, then click Move Folder
In this example, we are moving the ABC Billing Inc subfolder into the root folder to make it a top level folder.

Step 2: Select the folder you want to move the folder to from the Move To dropdown menu
Click Move

ABC Billing Inc is now a top level folder.

Step 3: Next, we are going to move a subfolder from a top level folder to another top level folder.
In the example, we are going to move the Cats Billing subfolder from the Clients top level folder to the New Clients top level folder.

Step 4: Select the folder you want to move the folder to from the Move To dropdown menu
Click Move

Cats Billing folder is now inside (under) the New Clients folder
