Creating an External Group Distribution List

This tutorial will show you how to create an External Group Distribution List.

Using groups is a convenient way to sent a mass email to multiple people at once.

Step 1: Click on the Contacts icon.

Step 2: From the middle pane, click on New

Step 3: You will get a pop-up box.

Click on Master Categories

Enter group names separated by a commas. You can create as many groups as you want.

When done, click OK.

Step 4: Add Any Contact to a Category

Now go into each one of your contacts and assign that person to a group.

Click on the Categories tab.

Put a checkmark into any group you want this contact to belong to.

In this example, we have assigned our contacts to the Doctors group.

Click Save

Step 5: When creating a new message, click on the blue To link.

Step 6: You will get a pop-up box. At the bottom left, select your group from the drop down menu.

In this example, we selected the Doctors group.

Step 7: You can select all contacts within that group by putting a checkmark in the very top box or you can select each contact individually, then click OK

Step 8:  The To field is now populated with all the contacts in the Doctors group.

You can also add groups to the CC field and BCC field as well.

Happy emailing!
