This tutorial will show you how to Change a user's email account password.
Email address (user) passwords must be changed by an administrator or person with access to your control panel on your end. Enguard support staff cannot change, reveal, or assign email address passwords for any user - even administrators.
Administrators can follow these steps at any time to change individual user's email passwords.
Step 1: Click on the Accounts icon
Step 2: Click on the blue email address link you want to change the password for.
Step 3: Enter the new password twice.
Secure Password Requirements: At least 8 characters, at least 1 uppercase, at least 1 lower case, at least 1 number, at least 1 special character (symbol), must not contain any part of your username, your real name, part of your domain name, or part of your company name. There should not be any words in the dictionary, if you decide to use a real word please change it up such as "P@s$word" instead of "Password" for instance. The stronger the password the better, and we recommend changing your passwords at least once a year - or for even better security, every 6 months.
Do not hit the ENTER key after entering the password. This will not save it.
Step 4: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save
The user's password has been changed.
You will return to the Mail Accounts Screen after saving.
You will need to notify the user of their new password.
