This tutorial will show you how to manage folders in our Webmail.
- Create new folder
- Rename a folder
- Delete a folder
- Move a folder to be a sub-folder
- Move a sub-folder to be a root folder
Make sure you are in the Email Tab of Webmail.
To create a new folder:
Step 1: From the Actions Menu, Select New Folder
Step 2: Complete these fields:
A) Select Root Folder from the Parent drop down. Or, if you want to create a subfolder for an existing folder, you can select a different Parent folder.
B) Give your folder a name
Step 3: Check out your new folder
You will see the new folder/subfolder in the main folder listing.
To rename a folder:
Right-click on any folder and select Rename Folder.
To delete a folder:
Right-click on any folder and select Delete Folder
Please be aware that deleting a Parent Folder will delete any Subfolders within it.
To move a folder and make it a sub-folder of an existing folder:
Step 1: Right-click on the folder and select Rename Folder
Step 2: From the Parent drop down, select a new Parent folder to move the folder to.
For this example, we are moving our Test folder under our Inbox folder.
Step 3: You will need to give it the same name (or a new name if you wish), click Save.
Step 4: You will now see a "+" icon next to the Inbox folder.
Step 5: Click on the "+" icon to expand the the folders and you will now see the Test folder under (inside) the Inbox folder.
To move a sub-folder to be a root (top level) folder:
Step 1: First, follow the first step above for how to move a folder.
Step 2: Select Root Folder from the Parent drop down, give the folder the same name (or a new name if you wish), click Save.
Step 3: You will now see the folder back in the main folder listing.
