This tutorial will show you how to Work with Files in the eBox Web Interface.
In this example, we will upload a Word file, PDF file, and Excel file.
It's very simple: to upload files to eBox, just drag and drop files from your computer into the File Browser.
In this example, we are going to delete a file named Test file.docx.
Step 1: Right-click the file you want to delete.
Step 2: Select Edit, then select Delete.
In this example, we will rename a file named Test file.docx to Test file 2.docx.
Step 1: Right-click the file you want to rename.
Step 2: Select Edit, then select Rename.
Step 3: Type in a new name for the file and press enter.
Step 4: Your file has been renamed. The new name will appear in grey.
In the example, we will copy and paste a file.
Step 1: Right-click the file you want to copy.
Step 2: Select Edit, then select Copy.
Step 3: Right-click into the white space and select Paste.
Step 4: A copy of the file will be created. The word "copy" will be in the file name. You can rename the file if you wish.
In this example, we will download the Test file.docx file to the computer.
Step 1: Right-click the file you want to download.
Step 2: Select Download, then select Download again.
Step 3: A pop-up will ask you where to save the file to your computer. Save the file.
Using Shortcuts in the Main Menu
In this example, we will show you shortcuts in the main menu.
Step 1: Click into the white space inside the square box of the file.
Step 2: Shortcut icons will appear in the main menu for Paste, Delete, Download, Copy, and Cut.
