This tutorial will show you how to setup your Enguard email address with ActiveSync on your iPad.
You must be subscribed to ActiveSync with us. Otherwise, this tutorial will not work for your iPad. If you do not have an ActiveSync license for your email address, please use the Email Setup on iPad tutorial instead. If you know that your company/domain is on Plan 3, and you need us to enable ActiveSync for your email account, please send an email request to our support team before setting up your iPhone.
At the time of this writing, the latest iOS version is 11.4, please make sure your phone is updated to the latest version of iOS to ensure the screenshots below match. We highly recommend setting up your email account when your phone is connected to Wi-Fi. If you are on 3G/4G/LTE, make sure you have good reception while in one place and not moving around.
Do not skip any steps in this tutorial. Following these instructions out of order or failing to finish the steps will likely result in an error or incorrect setup. You must know your current email password to add your account to the native Mail app on your iPad, and we recommend being connected to WiFi with a strong signal when adding and syncing new accounts to any mobile device

Add Your Email Account to the iPad Mail App
Step 1: Touch Settings
Step 2: Touch Accounts & Passwords, then touch Add Account
Step 3: Touch Exchange
Step 4: Add your Account
A) Enter your email address
B) Enter a description for this account on your iPad
Step 5: At this prompt, touch Sign In
Step 6: Enter your email password, then touch Next
Step 7: At this prompt, touch Continue.
Step 8: Select all the options you want to Sync with Webmail, then touch Save
Step 9: Threading and Signature Settings
Organized by Thread will group your email messages into Conversation mode.
Some people like this, some people don't, you can turn it on or off here.
You can set your outgoing Signature emails sent from this account via the iPhone app.
Tap Settings to Go Back when you're finished.
Your account has been added to the iPad Mail App.
Optional Setting: Notifications
You can also set up "new mail" sound and visual notifications.
Step 1: Touch Mail, then touch Notifications
Step 2: Select Notification Options:
- Turn ON all options
- Select your new mail sound
- Select Banner (Temporary or Persistent)
Touch Mail to Go Back.
