Setup eBox Desktop Client Software (Windows)

This tutorial will show you how to install the eBox Desktop Client Software on Windows.

The eBox Desktop Client is compatible with all versions of Windows.
At the time of this writing, the latest Microsoft Operating System is Windows 10.
Your eBox account will be installed as a Cloud Drive on your computer with drive letter (Z:) and will function like a local storage device.



Step 1: Determine whether you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit Operating System

In the search box by the Windows Icon, type "windows version"

Select "See if you have 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows"




Or, you can open the Control Panel and select System. 
Look at System type in the About information to see whether it is 32 or 64-bit:

In this example, we are running a 64-bit operating system





Step 2: Log into the eBox Web Interface

Go to ebox.enguard.com and log into your account.






Step 3: Download Your Desktop Client Installer

From the profile menu in the top right, click on the Desktop Clients button.





Step 4: Under eBox Desktop Client (Windows), select your Operating System version (32-bit or 64-bit) from the dropdown menu.
Then, click Go to download the software. 






Step 5: Open the installer package you downloaded.

If this does not open automatically, check your downloads folder. 

Open the file you downloaded.
If you see a warning similar to this, click OK.





Step 6: The installer will launch, click Next.





Step 7: Click I Agree, then click Next.





Step 8: Click Next.





Step 9: If you see a prompt similar to this, click Yes.





Step 10: Click Close.



That's it! 



Your eBox Drive Desktop App is now installed.


Your eBox account is now added as Drive (Z:)





There will be a shortcut placed on your desktop:
